Blue Meridian Corp d/b/a Cozy Hugs (“Cozy Hugs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates cozyhugs.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse the site, create an account, place a Cozy Hugs website order, join Cozy Notes, use our contact form, or follow an affiliate link.
Information we collect
- Orders and accounts: name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, telephone number when supplied, account and order history, purchased items, preferences, tax and shipping information, refunds, and customer-service records.
- Payments: transaction status, amount, billing details, fraud signals, and a processor reference or token. Complete card details are sent to the configured payment provider; Cozy Hugs does not intend to store a complete payment-card number on its own website.
- Messages and newsletter choices: information you submit through the contact form, newsletter sign-up and confirmation status, consent records, and related delivery or engagement data.
- Site and device data: IP address, browser and device information, approximate location derived from IP, referring page, pages viewed, cart and session identifiers, cookie choices, appearance preferences stored in your browser, and security or diagnostic events.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the store; create accounts; process, fulfill, track, support, cancel, return, and refund website orders; calculate tax and shipping; prevent fraud and abuse; answer messages; maintain inventory and fulfillment records; administer rewards, gift cards, subscriptions, discounts, and customer preferences; send requested communications; comply with law; establish or defend legal claims; and improve site reliability and customer experience.
Newsletter and marketing choices
Cozy Notes uses a confirmation-based sign-up. Marketing email begins only after the address is confirmed. Every marketing message provides an unsubscribe method. We may retain limited suppression and consent records so an unsubscribe is respected and compliance can be demonstrated. Transactional messages about an account or order are separate from marketing choices.
Service providers
We disclose information only as reasonably needed to businesses that help operate Cozy Hugs, including hosting and commerce technology providers, payment processors, fraud and security services, email and newsletter providers, tax services, carriers, distributors, inventory and fulfillment providers, analytics or consent services when enabled, and professional advisers. These providers process information under their own terms or service arrangements. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent.
Amazon purchase paths
Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment: when a Cozy Hugs website order is assigned to Amazon MCF, we provide the information needed to pick, pack, ship, and report tracking, such as the recipient name, delivery address, contact details, order identifier, products, and shipping instructions. It remains a Cozy Hugs website order.
Amazon affiliate links: a clearly labeled affiliate link sends you to Amazon, where Amazon and the seller shown on the listing handle the separate transaction under their privacy terms. The link may contain our Amazon Associates tracking ID and referral information. Cozy Hugs may receive commission and performance reporting, but does not receive the full Amazon checkout record merely because you followed the link. As an Amazon Associate, Cozy Hugs earns from qualifying purchases.
Cookies and local storage
Necessary cookies and local storage support the cart, checkout, account login, saved display preferences, fraud prevention, load balancing, and site security. Newsletter, analytics, or other nonessential technologies may be used when enabled and subject to the choices shown on the site where required. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, but essential store features may then stop working correctly.
Retention and security
Retention depends on why information was collected. Order and payment records may be retained for accounting, tax, contract, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements. Account information is kept while the account is active and as reasonably needed afterward. Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe, while limited suppression or consent records may remain. Support records are kept as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain business records.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Providers may process information in locations different from yours, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about disclosures; to withdraw consent; to opt out of certain processing; or to appeal a decision. Cozy Hugs does not knowingly sell order, account, or contact-form information for money. Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” more broadly; choices required for enabled advertising or analytics technologies will be provided as applicable.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information can contact us through the form.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the store, providers, or law changes. The effective date identifies the current version. Questions and privacy requests may be sent through the protected contact form.
